We're Getting This Tomorrow

We had our little hearts set on the Mamas & Papas Sola Stroller. With the $399.00 price tag. The features are all we want, need and dream of in a stroller for our lifestyle. But ohhh that price tag.

Enter the Harmony Juvenile Odyssey Modular Stroller. I pushed this around Target a bit. I fiddled with the features and at first sight, couldn't fully understand how the carriage becomes the regular seat. I figured it out without much fuss. There wasn't a manual or anything so seeing the stroller up on the display (where I could view the under side of the seat) helped a bit. The seat has a buckle that adjusts it into place. REALLY EASY and so common-sense.

Now with that said, I still love the Sola Stroller a whole lot but I just don't WANT to fork out $399.00. I'm going to go over the similarities that led me to choose the Odyssey Modular Stroller instead.

-Both feature a forward and rear facing seat option.

-Both feature adjustable foot and back rests.

-Both feature lockable front swivel wheels.

-Both feature a 5-point harness. The Odyssey also features a 3-point harness.

-Both feature a bumper bar.

-Both feature a canopy window.

-Both feature an adjustable handle. The Odyssey boasts that theirs is ergonomical and one-hand operable. This may be true for both.

-The Odyssey features an included car seat adapter. The Sola has an optional car seat adapter.

-The Odyssey features a newborn carriage. The Sola can be used for newborns but having the carriage be fully surrounding is comforting to me as there is less air flow on colder days. The Sola has an optional footmuff to solve this difference, though it is at an extra costs.

-The Odyssey's price tag is MUCH more budget-friendly at just $149.99. I know there are cheaper strollers. I get that I could get a travel system for a similar price. I don't think Graco strollers are sturdy at all, they are bulky and a rough ride and you can shake them side to side without really trying. I am going for the best for my money according to our needs.

Let me also explain how we intend to use the stroller. I typically use a stroller for a day-long trip to Disneyland or a fair. I am more likely to carry the baby at the mall or for short trips. I am more likely to let her walk when she can walk. I am DEFINITELY a shopping cart user when baby is old enough to sit up in the front seat of the cart. I don't use cart covers, either. God forbid! I believe that immunities are not built properly if a baby and/or child is not exposed to germs, bacteria, etc. We all need a lil bit of dirt and germs. Trust me. I'm not a doctor so I'm not trying to sell you anything expensive and unnecessary.

So basically the stroller I originally had my heart set on and the one I ended up choosing are SO SO similar but I'm getting a better deal with the Harmony Odyssey. Here's what it looks like... and once I'm able to use it, I'll post a review.
