Oh WOW!

Time really got away from me since my last post.

In the last 8 days I have assisted in planning our baby shower. The baby shower was yesterday and happened to be just amazing! Everyone who was able to make it spoiled our baby girl. She made out like a bandit! We did not expect all the gifts we were showered with. We are very lucky and she is clearly going to be spoiled.

Last Thursday I went with my mom to Babies R Us to pick up baby girl's new car seat as well. She and my dad got us the car seat we registered for and we are SO thankful! Here is a picture:

This car seat is SO SOFT and has great safety features. OH! And the installation is incredibly simple... like, stupid simple! See those lobster claw looking LATCHes on the bottom front? Just click those into the LATCH system in your rear seat. At first I was wondering how easy it was going to be to transfer this seat from car to car since it is not just an infant carrier and has no bases. As it turns out, it will be JUST as easy! One more thing... this seat goes from 5-100lbs so assuming there are no accidents or defects, this seat will last baby girl until she is out of a seat.

I attended a baby shower on Saturday for a friend. She is due May 13th and I June 27th. She is also having a girl and of course, we expect theme to be best buds! I can't wait til August 10th when we see each other again and we can get our girl's first pics together... maybe even in matching outfits! We're cheesy like that.

Our baby shower was yesterday and like I mentioned, was a great turnout. I will be posting pics soon. I have sorted all the laundry and out of the gifts we received, we have 4 full loads of baby laundry. If you know anything about baby clothes, you know they're TINY and it takes a lot of clothes to make a full load of laundry. Baby girl will be dressed to the nines all the time!

It looks like we only have a few other things to purchase-Lansinoh Cream, a changing pad and cover and a stroller. We got gift cards and a check that we will use to buy those items.

After I wash everything and get some rest and get it all settled in, I'll take pics and post them in a blog later this week.
