Here I am at 37 weeks, 1 day. I went to the Dr for my weekly visit this day and the Dr put me on the NST monitors as he always does now, then not 20 minutes later, let me go home. He said "THIS is the star baby of the day, everything is great and perfect. You can go home now. Go to Labor & Delivery if anything happens over the weekend, call me if anything happens next week and I'll see you next Friday.
I hope he DOESN'T see me next Friday. I have been having irregular contractions and major pelvic/cervical pressure since Saturday. I am ready to have this baby NOW! I hope real labor kicks in soon. Preferably before Wednesday because Maya's birthday party is on the 15th and it's a pool party/sleepover so SOMEONE will need to be here to watch a bunch of kids party. If I have her before Wednesday, I can be home in 24 hours assuming everything is good with the baby. That would be ideal...but ideal is one thing birth timing never is. In any case, I'm trying my damnedest to get her out. Even cleaning my pool, sweeping the floors, cleaning the whole kitchen and dining room, walking, moving furniture, you name it! OH and acupressure points and massages.
Anyway... we can't wait to meet this little girl, so she can hurry up and be ready now!
Did I mention that I gave the other half a crash course in diapering, clothing and swaddling? Yep. I did that. Don't let this display of grumpiness fool you, he was laughing the whole time and although he gave a huge cheesy kindergarten smile for the camera, I missed it and caught this grump face.
And just for good measure, this is what I see when I look down these days.
